Sunday Dinner

I wanted to make a nice Sunday dinner. I didn't make it to church for the reason of sick kids. So I had all day to prepare this. I need help from all you good cooks. I got a recipe for a lasagna from Kraft food&family magazine. I read the recipe and it sounded easy so I did everything it said to do. Except when I came to this. This is what it says exactly "Stir in spaghetti sauce. Pour water into empty sauce jar; cover and shake well. Add to skillet; stir until well blended. Adding water to sauce helps cook noddles . So you don't have to cook them before hand. It doesn't say how much water to put in the empty jar. I figure the noddles are raw so it probably needs a whole jar. I poured the whole jar of water in the spaghetti sauce and mixed well. Then I put it all together. It looked ok. I cooked for 45 mins. Just the right amount of time tell Ben gets home. When the time was done I opened the oven and I had lasagna soup. I was so sad we still ate it. So I want to know how much water was I supposed to put in? I am mad at the recipe!!! Are we just suppose to know how much water or am I the dumb one? Basically I will never use the recipe again.

Hi Trish - I would have put a whole jar in too, so don't feel bad. They should have been more specific! Studid recipe!

So sorry. That is too bad. I hate having to guess. That is probably why I only stick to the 5 things, cause I already know how to make them.

So that's weird. Did it mean just a little swish of water to get ALL the sauce completely out of the jar???? It's so fun to try new recipe's but always a risk. If I'm ever fixing dinner for a party or when people are coming over I have to stick to something fool proof or I'll find a way to mess it up.
